Women in Film‐PDX is proud to announce, through generous support from The Faerie Godmother Foundation, The WIF-PDX / Faerie Godmother Production Grant. The purpose of the FG Production Grant is to support working-women video and filmmakers in Oregon and Southwest Washington (Clark County). The goal of this grant is to provide a financial statement of support aiding in the next step of crafting of an idea, honing a vision, or assisting in the completion of a consequential piece of work. Back by popular demand, this workshop combines a holistic and practical approach, sharing street-tested advice and presenting real life case studies of success. Local filmmaker Sam Drevo will present his newly released film Trout on the Wind on the amazing story of restoration and renewal of Trout Creek through removal of Hemlock Dam. Sam Drevo and Ralph Bloemers, both avid whitewater paddlers and river advocates, collaborated on this production telling the story through the words of the individuals directly involved in it, and those influenced by it.
