Eugene, OR. Oregon filmmakers are encouraged to enter DIVA’s eighth annual OpenLens Festival to be held January 28th, 2012. The competition is accepting short films of 15 minutes or less made by Oregon residents.

(Eugene, Oregon) The 2012 OpenLens Festival seeks submissions by Oregon filmmakers for its eighth annual celebration of the short film genre to be held in Eugene, January 28-29, 2012. Prizes include: $500 Jury Award, $200 Jury Honorable Mention, and $100 Audience Choice Award. Submissions are limited to 15 minutes with films 10 minutes or less preferred.

The DIVA Center offers film enthusiasts the only local screening of the 2011 Oscar nominated live-action, and animated short film nominees February 18-19-20 and again on February 25-26-27. All screenings will take place at the UO Baker Center at 325 East 10th in Eugene. Admission: $7. Students: $6.
