On Sunday, Oct 25th, come to the screening of the award winning short documentary, “The Elk,” about Portland’s beloved Thompson Elk statue that held the line through the protests of 2020, took a beating, and triumphantly returned, after much contention and millions of dollars in repairs, to it’s rightful place on Main St.
After the film, Portland tour guide Sarah Gilbert, who is featured in the film, will take us on a walking tour to “The Elk” and other local sites of memory.
