OriginalMind Productions today announced the world premiere of “Secret Life,” a new comedy-drama written, directed, and produced by Steve Perkins, on Friday, August 21, 2026, at the recently renovated Whitsell Auditorium in
the Portland Art Museum.
Doors open at 6:00p.m. for an opening reception featuring live music from composer Jay Ringer, with the film
screening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., followed by a Q&A with the cast and crew from 8:30 to 9:00p.m. Tickets are available at eventbrite.com.
“Secret Life” filming took place entirely within a house in Southwest Portland designed by architect Frank Shell. The cast and crew were selected from the local film community. The acting ensemble of thirteen Portland-based actors features Lisa Sorenson, Anna Prosser, and Bobby Trovato. Its original score was composed and performed by Jay Ringer, a musician Perkins discovered busking near the reservoirs at Mt. Tabor Park.
“Secret Life” marks Perkins’ second feature made in the city, following “Dead Mom Card” (2023), and reflects his continued commitment to the local creative community.
