“Night Moves” Premieres at Venice International Film Festival and Will Screen at Toronto International Film Festival

Director Kelly Reichardt’s (“Wendy and Lucy”, “Meek’s Cutoff”) new film, “Night Moves” will be screening in competition at the Venice International Film Festival (August 28th- September 7th) and will also screen at the Toronto International Film Festival  as a special presentation.

“Night Moves” will compete in the “Venezia 70” section of the Venice International Film Festival, an “international competition of feature films, presented as world premieres”.  The film stars, as eco-terrorists; Jesse Eisenberg (“The Social Network”), Dakota Fanning (“The Twighlight Saga”) and Peter Sarsgaard (“An Education”).  “Night Moves” was written by Kelly Reichardt and Jon Raymond (“Mildred Pierce”, “Meek’s Cutoff”, “Wendy and Lucy”) and Executive Produced by Kim Saerom, Lourenço Sant’ Anna, Alejandro De Leon, Todd Haynes and Larry Fessenden.

“Night Moves” was shot last year exclusively in Southern Oregon.  The film revolves around radical environmentalists that set in motion an eco-terror plot that creates serious moral consequences.

*** UPDATE***   “Night Moves” landed a distribution deal with Cinedigm.  It is set to release theatrically in the spring of 2014.
