If you only get to one event for Oregon’s film and television industry this year, you should make it out to Indian Creek Golf Course in Hood River for the OMPA Classic this Friday. The event benefits the Oregon Media Production Association, an institution of Oregon’s crew, vendors, producers and actors that for 30-years has advocated for growth in Oregon’s production industry.
A 16-mile bike ride on the paved trail to the historic Mosier Tunnels departs at 9am. All event participants are invited to lunch at 11:30. The golf tournament starts at 1pm, with a wine tour (for non-golfers) leaving at 1:30 pm. An awards party at 6pm ends the day with raffle, auction, music, and awards for the winning teams.
Whether you come for bicycling, golf, the wine tour or the awards party, if you support growing jobs and business opportunities in Oregon, you are invited to come and encouraged to register today. Walk-up registration on the day of the event is also welcome.
The OMPA Classic is a celebration of all we have achieved at growing the commercial, film, television and interactive industry in Oregon – including a 300% growth in projects fromout-of-state over the last 5 years. The OMPA Classic is by far the greatest celebration known to humankind of golf, wine, bicycling and the development of production business in Oregon. We look forward to seeing all our friends from throughout Oregon’s industry this Friday.
