This coming Sunday, April 29th, the Dill Pickle Club hosts the second installment of A Place Called Home: Lectures on Filmmaking in Portland, a monthly lecture series focused on the history of movie-making in the city, at the Hollywood Theater with guest animators Rose Bond, Joan Gratz and Joanna Priestley. Check out this new short video “Two Minutes with Dennis Nyback,” and hear Dennis talk a bit about the history of animation in Portland, as he previews the lecture.
It all takes place at the Hollywood Theater this Sunday (yes, this Sunday, April 29th!). Get tickets and read the full details here. If you love animation, this is a great opportunity to see work and hear directly from three of our region’s best. You won’t want to miss it!
This sounds really interesting, but it looks like your “Get tickets and read the full details here” link is broken…
Thanks for the heads-up. The link has been corrected and is now fully functional.
Nice video of Dennis Nyback… he and Anne Richardson are both Oregon Film Treasures, in my opinion, as our Oregon film historians.
