Description:
Filmmaking is a team sport and the editing process should be no different! This class is an opportunity for those currently working on 3-15 minute-long piece who could benefit from feedback and mentorship. During the first session, you’ll discuss your projects and review rough-cuts or footage with feedback from the class and instructor. The second class will give students one-on-one time to receive editorial guidance from the instructor. In the final session, students gather again to review everyone’s work again and discuss the elements that help a rough-cut evolve into a final cut such as titling, color-correction and sound sweetening. Cambria Matlow has directed two documentary features, BURNING IN THE SUN and WOODSRIDERS. She has been awarded grants and artist residencies from LEF Foundation, Brooklyn Arts Council, Experimental Television Center and the Puffin Foundation among others.
Class runs 3 Thursdays -7/6, 7/13 and 7/27.
