Have you ever watched a film or TV show and wondered how it was made? Do you dream of being part of a team that helps create stories seen by audiences around the world? Now is your chance to learn about career opportunities in the fast-paced, demanding and exciting world of filmmaking!
The PA Pathways Training is intended for people who want to pursue a career in film and are looking to break into the industry. The class is a part of the Oregon Media Pathways Program and is a prerequisite for paid placements as a Production Assistant on professional projects.
The PA Pathways Training is meant to teach people typically underrepresented in the film industry the skills necessary to be a Production Assistant on professional commercial and motion picture sets. The class will also connect participants to mentors, resources, and paid opportunities. Priority will be given to participants who are BIPOC, LGBTQ, homeless, immigrants/refugees, and/or another marginalized identity. This training consists of one day of interactive classroom learning, which will also qualify you for a free OMPA membership after completion.
This is a paid training with lunch provided on the classroom day. You will be given a $100 stipend after the successful completion of the training. You will receive this within two weeks after the class.
