Prosper Portland seeks a talented project manager to join our Business, Events, and Entertainment team within our Economic Development Department who will manage the day-to-day functions and the strategic vision of the Portland Film Office. As the Film Industry Program Manager you will serve as a liaison between the film industry and the city’s partner bureaus, providing guidance, stream-lined communication, coordination, and connection to technical assistance related to film and production. This person will also identify, create, and implement programs and initiatives to support business development within the film and music industry, attract film productions to the Portland Metro area, and enhance equity and inclusion within industry firms. Additionally, you will manage and contribute to the development and implementation of other economic development initiatives to support Prosper Portland’s mission in building an equitable economy.


The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive project management capabilities and a passion for advancing both the film industry and racial equity, along with the flexibility and talent to progress complex and fluid projects. This person will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with businesses, community members, and other city bureaus to advance business development and inclusive job creation opportunities. Knowledge and experience working within economic development, industry cluster development, or traded sector business development will serve this person well.
