– In the spirit of hosting more movies at NW Doc we are holding a special Test Screening of an upcoming documentary titled Paradise Found: Taylor Camp, Kauai 1969-1977. We invite you to kick off the summer and join us for a fun film about the raucous 60’s and 70’s along with FREE snacks and beer from our sponsors Lagunitas. When: Thursday, June 22nd at 6pm RSVP to the Facebook event or Meet Up event Synopsis: Hawaii, 1969 – Howard Taylor, brother of actress Elizabeth, bails out a rag-tag band of young Mainlanders jailed for vagrancy and invites them to live on his oceanfront land. Soon, waves of hippies, surfers, and troubled Vietnam vets find their way to this clothing-option, pot-friendly, tree house village at the end of the road on Kauai’s North Shore—the ultimate hippie fantasy, until the locals decide it’s time for them to go.
