Stand By Me Day – July 23rd – Brownsville

Every year July 23rd is Stand By Me Day in Brownsville.  This year, due to Covid restrictions and not being able to gather a crowd, Historic Brownsville is hoping that fans will come on their own to celebrate this beloved movie.  Although there will not be a blueberry pie-eating contest this year fans can walk around town exploring the Oregon Film Trail stops, see the many scene locations from this beloved movie and play a geocache game. A printed map and SetJetters movie scenes will be available. Look for singers on the streets and memorabilia being sold at the Linn County Historical Museum.  (Download the SetJetters app before you get there so you can find all your favorite movies scenes close by in Cottage Grove and Eugene as well as Brownsville.)

Museum Hours 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Linn County Historical Museum, 101 Park Ave. 541 466-3390
