Fox Searchlight unveiled the #LifeisWILD contest this week as a headliner in promoting Reese Witherspoon‘s WILD.  Oregon Film was approached by Fox Searchlight to help put this contest together as an interactive and creative way to bring attention to the movie, and in so doing, the Pacific Crest Trail, and Oregon simultaneously.  Oregon Film collaborated with Travel Oregon to pull together a fantastic Grand Prize package of a week long trip to Oregon for the winner and a friend.  Oregon partners that were excited to be a part of this contest are:

Alaska Airlines
Timberline Lodge
Hotel Modera
Nel Centro Restaurant
Bottle & Bottega
Ashland Springs Hotel
Lark’s Home Kitchen
Oregon Shakespeare Festival
Crater lake Lodge

as well as Danner Boots, REI, The Wilderness Society and Pacific Crest Trail Association.

WILD shot in more locations throughout Oregon than any other project filmed in the state to date.  From southern Oregon; Crater Lake and Ashland; to the Badlands, Smith Rock and Bend in Central Oregon; and also the Portland metro area, Timberline and Bridge of The Gods in the Columbia River Gorge, to name a few.  Over 100 Oregon crew worked on the movie, and almost 30 local actors.

WILD will be released December 5th.

Cheryl Strayed was changed forever by her adventures in the WILD, and we want to learn about YOUR transformative experiences in the great outdoors! Post a photo on Instagram or Twitter and use #LifeisWILD to be entered to win a fantastic trip to Oregon, a prize pack from REI, a pair of boots from Danner, and much more!
