Two Portland Made Films from the Brothers Freeman playing back to back nights at Film Festivals in Oregon.

PORTLAND, Oregon (October 15, 2012) The Feature Films The Weather Outside and Cell Count are screening on two nights at two Oregon film festivals.

First up is The Weather Outside and its World Premiere at this year’s Eugene International Film Festival.  The Weather Outside is the story of Max who “finds himself separated from his family on Christmas Eve. He ultimately comes to the conclusion that his wife has left him and taken their children along with her. One year after the disappearance, he begins to discover that he might have one last risky chance to get them back.

This feature film, Written and Directed by Jason Freeman, produced by Polluted Pictures in association with Wooden Frame Productions, will have its World Premiere as part of  The Eugene International Film Festival at 7 PM on October 19th, 2012 at the Regal Valley River Center Stadium 15 & IMAX  in Eugene, Oregon.

The Eugene International Film Festival is now in its sixth year and celebrates independent film from around the world.  Legendary film-maker Roger Corman has referred to it as “…one of America’s top film fests and getting better every year.

“”We are so excited to have finished up post-production on The Weather Outside.  It’s been a long haul, but the time has finally come to let it go.  Our goal in the coming weeks and months is to get it in front of as many people as utterly possible.  I simply cannot wait for film-goers at the Eugene International Film Festival to see it.” – Writer and Director Jason Freeman.

Next up is the Feature Film Cell Count and it’s United States Premiere at the Astoria International Film Festival.  Cell Count is the story of Russell Carpenter who reluctantly admits his wife Sadie into an experimental treatment facility for her life threatening disease. While locked in this prison like surrounding they, along with 6 others, are unknowingly subjected to a cure that might just be worse than the disease itself.

This feature film, Written and Directed by Todd E. Freeman, produced by Polluted Pictures in association with Wooden Frame Productions, will have its World Premiere as part of the Astoria International Film Festival at 9:30PM on October 20th, 2012 at the Liberty Theater in Astoria, Oregon.

After riveting audiences at film festivals around the world (England, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Spain) the psychological horror film Cell Count finally gets its U.S. Premiere in its home state!

With comparisons to the works of David Cronenberg and John Carpenter (with a clever nod to Ridley Scott’s Alien), this high-concept horror/science fiction hybrid film will stay with you long after you leave the theater.

Many of the cast and crew will be in attendance for the screening and the MEET AND GREET before the film.

Both films were shot in 2011 by Wooden Frame Productions which utilized the Oregon state iOPIF rebate program which provides rebates of 20% of goods and services and 10% of Oregon labor for films produced by Oregon filmmakers who spend a minimum of $75,000 but not more than $750,000 on their project. Over 50 cast and crew for the films were residents of Oregon.
