Blue Like Jazz Is Playing In A Theater Near You

Based on the New York Times’ bestseller by Donald Miller, “Blue Like Jazz” tells the story of a nineteen-year-old sophomore who “tries to escape his Bible Belt upbringing for life in the Pacific Northwest at the most godless campus in America”.  A passion project from the start, filmmakers Donald Miller, (screenwriter) and Steve Taylor (director/screenwriter) used KickStarter to raise $345,992 to get the project off the ground.

“Blue Like Jazz” premiered last month at the South By Southwest Film Festival and was picked up by distributor, Roadside Attractions, (“Winter’s Bone”, “Margin Call” and “Albert Nobbs”).  The project shot in Oregon and Texas and stars Marshall Allman, Claire Holt and Tania Raymonde, Jason Marsden.  Ashland’s Gary Kout was the UPM for the Oregon portion.
