7th Annual Klamath Independent Film Festival Opens September 13

The only complete festival experience dedicated entirely to Oregon films and filmmakers, KIFF continues to be the only place to fully experience Oregon independent film.

Nestled in the high desert, alpine mountain community of Klamath Falls in Southern Oregon this year’s KIFF kicks off with an opening night street party outside the Ross Ragland Theater, joined by filmmakers, sponsors and other VIPs along with live music, a selection of beverages and food trucks. The street party will be followed by an introduction to the festival and opening night feature “Phoenix, Oregon” which was filmed on location in Klamath Falls in 2018. #OregonMade Independent Film, “Phoenix, Oregon” – Shooting In Klamath Falls

Directors Gary and Anne Lundgren, (“Black Road”) have been shooting their latest film,”Phoenix, Oregon” in Klamath Falls this week.

Klamath Falls Independent Film Festival (KIFF) announced the Lundgren’s new project, as well as updates about the upcoming festival.

“Phoenix, Oregon” centers around the relationship between two small town, long-time friends, who open a bowling alley together.

KIFF2017 Now Open For Submissions!

With over $1000 in prizes, and two free day pass vouchers to see most of the festival just for submitting, the Klamath Independent Film Festival is truly a filmmaker’s film festival, with a well rounded program showcasing the Klamath region and Oregon as a whole, to bring attention to regional filmmaking, and to expose Southern Oregon to filmmaking throughout the state, with support and attendance from statewide film organizations.

KIFF films are selected by a multi-person jury consisting of filmmakers and regular people to ensure a non-biased, balanced exhibition which celebrates films for film’s sake, in a way even general audiences can appreciate. Continue reading... “KIFF2017 Now Open For Submissions!”
