The #OregonMade Netflix series, Trinkets,(based on Kirsten “Kiwi” Smith‘s young adult novel) starring, Brianna Hildebrand (Deadpool, Tragedy Girls), Kiana Madeira (The Flash, Sacred Lies) and Quintessa Swindell will stream June 14th. This has become something of a tradition, at least in our minds. As we come to the end of another fiscal year, we want to take a moment and reflect on some of the things we have been able to accomplish during the past year and hopefully come up with some improvements for the next.

This month’s mixer for Portland area screenwriters and filmmakers features guest speaker screenwriter and educator, RANDALL JAHNSON, whose produced credits include: Dudes, The Doors, The Mask of Zorro, Sunset Strip and episodes of the HBO series Tales from the Crypt.
We are still enjoying season 3 of IFC’s, “Documentary Now!” and just in – we hear that they are renewing for a season 4!
Many talented local crew worked on this current season and we are proud to call it #OregonMade! Season has seen more great guest stars such as; Owen Wilson, Michael Keaton, Cate Blanchett among others, and the series was created by Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, John Mulaney and Seth Meyers.
Screenwriters & Filmmakers, ISA Third Thursdays April 18th is ALL ABOUT TV! It’s a Portland first with screenwriter, playwright and teacher Hal Cantor, who has written For Fox Television Studios, Sony Pictures Television and Showtime. Hal will give us his take on the craft and business of writing for television in today’s madcap TV marketplace.
Hulu’s six-episode series, “Shrill” is set to premiere March 15th. Executive Producers Lorne Michaels and Elizabeth Banks created the comedy series starring Aidy Bryant (Saturday Night Live) as Annie, “a fat young woman who wants to change her life — but not her body. #OregonMade “Mom & Me,” shot in and starring Bend mother and son team Karrie and Tristan Trowbridge, begins airing on Saturday, March 9 at 11 PM EST/ 8PM PST.
Mother-and-son duo Karrie and Tristan Trowbridge combine their skills to restore neglected houses in Bend, Oregon. While Karrie claims the general contractor and designer roles, Tristan is her worksite muscle and protege. From beat-up bungalows to lackluster log homes, together they find and transform overlooked properties into one-of-a-kind homes.
