The Art of Makeup School’s Summer Makeup Camp is the perfect opportunity for aspiring makeup artists, actors, or those working in film production to learn about makeup and how to apply it. All ages from 12 up are welcome!
Here’s what’s covered:
Day 1 Corrective Beauty: Color theory, skin tone matching, highlighting and contouring, corrective techniques, and a classic beauty look
Day 2 Fashion Makeup: Editorial fashion look, winged liner, strip lashes, perfect lips, and smoky eyes
Day 3 Special FX Makeup: Create bruises, cuts, and wounds using a variety of makeup mediums
Day 4 Film & TV Makeup: Using makeup for character development, film makeup tips & tricks
Step back in time when Andy Warhol ruled the art scene with his bright colors and art style that popped off the canvas! Art that looked like it belonged in a comic book. Now it’s your turn to create a fun colorful look using makeup as the medium and the face as the canvas. Challenge your creativity using lines, circles, and bold colors for this fun Pop Art Makeup look! Bodypaint and beauty artist Linda Wong will be the instructor.

Once a year The Art of Makeup School offers a night schedule. This year’s evening program begins this Monday September 27th. Schedule is Mon-Thurs from 6-9, except for the last day Fri Nov 19th.
The Fashion Makeup Artistry Program includes Corrective Beauty, Fashion & Media, Decade Makeup, and Hairstyling for Production & Media, Career Marketing, and photo shoots throughout. All 4 classes are offered individually and are focused on those seeking a career or continuing education in professional hair and makeup artistry for any path in the industry. The Art of Makeup School is offering both in-person and virtual makeup camps this summer. In-person and virtual camp sessions are 4 days each, and virtual camps are also offered as day camps. Summer Makeup Camp is the perfect opportunity for actors to learn production makeup tips, or if you’re curious about a career in makeup, or simply for fun. Any age from 12 up is welcome! The Art of Makeup School is a great resource to find trained makeup artists who specialize in working on set for film, television, and commercial productions. In addition to hair and makeup application skills from straight beauty and grooming to special fx and prosthetics, these graduates learn about set etiquette, how to break down a script and keep continuity, set touch-ups, and professional hair and makeup supplies for application and on set.
