“Deep” Film Premiere

DEEPPORTLAND, OR (September 10, 2014) – Ghanaian filmmaker Richmond Asamoah, is set to have a Red Carpet premiere of his new movie DEEP in Portand Oregon, Friday October 24th, 7 pm at the Portland Community College Cascade Campus, Moriarty Auditorium in Portland Oregon.  A special screening will take place Sunday October 26, at 4 pm at Portland International Church at 22 NE 80th Ave, Portland, OR 97213.

DEEP is a story of real life situations faced by real people. We all can relate to it. From the beginning of time, the world has faced challenges. Challenges that come from every direction, putting us in a state of confusion and offering few to no solution. This movie, with its different plots, draws attention to everyday family challenges and present God as the only solution to having a fulfilled life.

The film touches on sin, forgiveness, love, marriage, and using your talent. The whole journey began with what Richmond believe is critical to life. Living a life with great depth; a life full of love. It’s by this that peace can be guaranteed in our world. Stories never fade or die but exist to accomplish a purpose from generation to generation.

DEEP was written, directed and produced by Ghanian native Richmond Asamoah who has only been in the United States for two years. The film is produced along with Chidi Amajoyi. “I made this film in hopes that lives will be impacted! He wants the film to be thought provoking, with the understanding that love is the foundation of life,” said Asamoah. 

The movie has a diverse cast from America, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon Brazil and Burundi.  The soundtrack of the movie also includes music from Ghana, America, Nigeria and Cameroon. Richmond Asamoah, Chidi Amajoyi and the entire cast will be present at the Red Carpet premiere on Friday and will be available for interviews after the premiere. The movie is set to premiere in Ghana, Maryland and Chicago this winter.
