The Living River Film Festival: Oct 12-14

This October, the McKenzie River Trust invites you to enjoy a weekend of films and events that focus a lens on the amazing landscapes of Oregon, and beyond. These films cast a whole new light on the rivers in our own backyards, exploring and celebrating our relationship to the lands and rivers that surround us.

Opening Night – Meet the Filmmakers

Friday, October 12 at 6 pm

Wildish Theater in downtown Springfield, Or

The McKenzie River Trust will host an intimate evening with some of the Living River Festival filmmakers, a sneak peek at the new documentary film Willamette Futures (currently in production), and a catered reception by Heidi Tunnell Catering Co. with Sweet Life desserts at the newly remodeled Wildish Theater in downtown Springfield. A no-host cash bar will feature local Oakshire beers and regional wines by Oakdale Cellars. Willamette Futures is a profound portrait of the river in our own backyard and the passionate people working to protect it. The film is produced by Freshwaters Illustrated.

The catered reception includes: mushroom ciabattini rolls, sweet potato salad cups, chickpea cakes, chicken salad crackers, dips & spreads, and Sweet Life desserts. Click here for the full savory menu from Heidi Tunnell Catering Company. Opening Night Tickets: $45/person

Tickets available online until 1pm on Friday, Oct 12. Any tickets still available after that time will be sold at the door.
