Oregon’s commercial, film and TV workforce development programs are due to “sunset” on January 1, 2012 unless they are renewed by the 2011 state legislature. The candidates running for your state House and Senate seats today will be making difficult budget decisions for the state, and will decide which tax credits are renewed, including the Oregon Production Investment Fund and the equally important Greenlight Oregon Labor rebate.

Join us on October 21 at @Large Studios and learn how to lend your voice to this political process. These programs mean more jobs for Oregonians. OMPA is starting the effort to renew or increase these programs, and we invite your participation and help. Come to our “Political Party” and learn:

•• The facts about OPIF and Greenlight Labor and what they do to grow jobs in Oregon

•• Why this is the right industry for Oregon to cultivate, and what “Revenue Neutral” means

•• How to talk to your legislators after they’re elected on November 2nd. That’s right – you’ll learn how to be a grassroots, citizen lobbyist!

The jobs and other benefits brought to Oregon by OPIF and Greenlight Labor are clear to us. Your voice and your story are a critical part of our industry’s democratic participation. Join us on Thursday to learn how.
