MOPAN helps with broadcast from Oregon State Fair

When the bulk of the high profile and higher budget film and video work happens in the Portland metro area, we at the film office naturally get caught up with detailing all the good work happening in the Portland area.  But there is plenty of interesting work happening outside the Portland area and we would be remiss not to mention it.  Recently the Eugene based MOPAN redesigned their website and added a blog feature.  I’m not sure how much credit should go to new President Erik Talbert but I wanted to highlight one posting Erik put up today regarding the national broadcast shoot that happened at the Oregon State Fair.  Local DP/Broadcaster/Webcaster Scott Douglas got the call to help facilitate the shoot and thankfully MOPAN was able to help with crewing up the shoot.

Be sure to read more on MOPAN’s website and look for more good things to come out of Eugene in the future.

  1. I just wanted to let you know that I am the designer and also maintain the new blog and website for MOPAN. We also have a story about our membership drive that is currently going on through October 29th in The Register-Guard on Sunday September 5th by Serena Markstrom. So keep a look out for that story. We will also be adding some social networking in the future (facebook, RSS, and possibly Twitter) to let people know what’s happening with MOPAN. Our next meeting is on September 9th at 6:30pm location TBA on our blog at http://www.mopan.com. There is a lot of great talent that is part of MOPAN and more to come in the future for Eugene.
